About the studio
Founded in 2000, the Debrecen Sports Center is a central player in Debrecen's sports life and operates the Oláh Gábor utca Sports Complex, the Debrecen Sports Pool, the Debrecen Ice Arena and the multifunctional Főnix Aréna. Through the Debrecen Sports School, which operates in nine sports (athletics, judo, handball, basketball, soccer, figure skating, badminton, triathlon, swimming), the organization provides training and competition opportunities for about a thousand children.
The Sports Center's doors are also open to those interested in recreational and leisure sports, with the aim of letting the sports-loving public exercise in modern, high-quality sports facilities. Since its founding, the organization has hosted more than thirty world-level competitions and countless major sporting events, playing a significant role in regional and national sports life.
