About us & methodology
Studiofinder is a free, independent directory of pilates, yoga and fitness studios in Hungary. It was made so that anyone who wants to move can see in one place what's nearby – with real addresses, opening hours and a map.
Who runs it
The site is run by Szima Ákos e.v. (4030 Debrecen, Szepesi utca 114. Building A, tax number: 92072945-1-29). Listing and the basic profile are free for every studio, and will stay that way.
The “PatentDuo” name and the patentduo.hu domain are owned by Orbán Ivett e.v.; the “by PatentDuo” label in the Studiofinder header is used with her permission. The patentduo.hu webshop is also her business, not ours: the product recommendations on the site are advertisements, so they're labeled on every page. We receive no payment for them, and they never affect the order of the studios.
Who's behind it
Szima Ákos – operator of the directory. He develops and maintains it: the data collection, the ranking and the partner dashboard for studios. He contracts with the studios and issues the invoices.
Orbán Ivett – founder of PatentDuo. Knitwear designer, a graduate of MOME; she founded the brand and has been designing for yoga and pilates lovers ever since, made in Hungary. The directory carries her brand's name, and the webshop discount for studio students also comes from her. She has no say in the order of the studios.
Where the data comes from
- Discovery: we collect studios city by city from the public OpenStreetMap database and Google Places search. Currently 1707 studios in 36 cities: Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc, Pécs, Győr, Nyíregyháza, Kecskemét, Székesfehérvár, Szombathely, Sopron, Veszprém, Eger, Zalaegerszeg, Tatabánya, Kaposvár, Szolnok, Érd, Békéscsaba, Dunaújváros, Gödöllő, Szentendre, Vác, Esztergom, Keszthely, Szekszárd, Mosonmagyaróvár, Nagykanizsa, Siófok, Budaörs, Dunakeszi, Szigetszentmiklós, Hódmezővásárhely, Cegléd, Balatonfüred, Gyöngyös.
- Address, coordinates, opening hours: from public sources (including official Google Places data), with the source credited. Where the studio provided its own, that data is shown.
- Ratings: reviews written on Studiofinder, confirmed by email and checked. We don't store Google ratings; on the studio's page, Google's own element shows them if you click.
- Intro texts: written from the public text of the studio's own website, using only the facts stated there – without prices, offers, instructor names or evaluative adjectives. Currently 1032 studios have such a text; the rest are being written continuously. Every text goes through an automatic quality check, and we correct or delete it at the studio's request.
- Photos: from Google Places, with the author credited.
How the list is built
On the category and style pages, studios are ordered by reviews written on our site, popularity (how many people search for them on Google) and profile completeness; search and filters narrow things down within that. The details – including the formula – are on the How do we rank? page. A style page (e.g. “reformer pilates Szeged”) only exists if at least two or three studios actually offer that class and the list differs from the city's category page – so there are no empty or misleading pages. There's no paid placement at the moment; if there is, it will appear above the list, labeled “Ad · Featured” – and it won't override the order.
How often it's updated
The database grows continuously: new cities and studios are added weekly, and missing intro texts are written daily. The full directory was last updated on 2026-10-15. Every studio page shows where its opening hours come from.
Corrections, removal, contact
If your studio's details are wrong or incomplete, or you'd rather not be listed, write to the address given in the imprint – we'll apply the correction in the next update. You can claim and expand your own profile for free: For studios. You can also report incorrect or illegal content on the reporting form.
Reusing the data
The directory's aggregated data (studio density, style distribution, city-level totals) may be freely quoted for research and journalism, with the source credited. Machine-readable summary: llms.txt.
