FAQ – matchka pilates & matcha bar(re)

This will be my first class with you — how should I prepare?
Come with an open mind and in comfortable workout clothes, about 10 minutes before class. Bring a towel for hot classes, but you can also rent one at the studio. For your first class, you can secure your booking by transferring the class fee in advance. Share any musculoskeletal, cardiovascular or other conditions with your instructor so that we can create the safest possible conditions.
What should I bring to class?
The most important thing: yourself and comfortable clothes. Bring a towel for hot classes; if you forget it, you can rent one from us.
What is hot pilates?
Hot pilates combines the strengthening, body-shaping elements of pilates with practice in a room heated to 32–35°C. The heat relaxes the muscles, increases mobility and makes the workout more intense, while being gentle on the joints.
When should I arrive?
Arrive 5-10 minutes before class so you have time to change, tune in and take your spot.
Can I shower after class?
Yes, you can freshen up after class in a spacious shower stall. We have one shower, so there may be a short wait. Bring your own towel, or rent one from us.
