About the studio

The Jóga Tan Ma Szellemi Iskola has been operating in Budapest for more than 20 years and teaches traditional hatha yoga on a practical and theoretical basis. Groups are organized into grade levels, with a school year running from September to June that ends with a yoga camp in summer. The school does not focus only on physical exercise but also seeks to present and walk through the 8 steps of yoga in practice, with an emphasis on theoretical knowledge, a spiritual mindset and community life.

Every session is 2 hours long and consists of a warm-up, practice, learning new exercises, relaxation and a theory portion. The school welcomes beginners and advanced students alike, with rolling enrollment. The teaching includes asanas (yoga postures), pranayama exercises, meditation techniques, and getting to know the chakra system and the basics of the yogic lifestyle.
